Combining cellulose filters

These filters are fully made from cellulose media or mixed with synthetic fibers. Air contaminants move through the filter to be embedded in fiber. It also limits the amount of air flow that can travel through the filter, which in turn affects the performance of the dust collection system by increasing the decrease in pressure.

Melt-Blown Media Filters

The blown-glass filter is made of cellulose media, but it has a surface layer that’s been reformsulated with heat to increase its ability for dust particles. However, this feature creates more cleaning problems by adding second layers of cellulose-based materials with large fiber diameters and thicknesses.

Nanofiber filter

Nanofibers are approximately 100 times smaller than melted fiber diameters. His very small size allows them to form surfaces such as mesh that can prevent even the smallest air contaminants from re-enter the work environment.

A more rare replacement, easy cleaning and decrease in energy use associated with nanofiber filters can reduce the cost of operating the dust collector by as much as $ 5,000 per year.

Designed by the American Society of Heating, Cooling and AC (Ashrae). This system is based on the ability of air filters to capture dust particles ranging from 0.3 to 10 microns. Rating ranges from 1 to 20. Higher MJ rating shows better capabilities in removing particles.
